OK, this isn't the worst thing that could happen but it's annoying anyway... I've gotten a couple of money requests in the last couple of weeks from someone I don't know. The message accompanying the request is gibberish and makes no sense. I realize I can just cancel it or ignore it, but is there any way to report this behavior so this member can be stopped from doing this? Thanks for your help.

You could phone Paypal and complain, but that's about it.
We're getting them on the boards as well - very annoying.

Okay, let me get this straight: someone can simply request money from my account and Paypal will pay it to them?
How do I protect myself from THIS?
I received a request for a donation to some woman in Brazil, and it looks like the money has been taken out of my account.
1. If I choose "cancel" will it stop the process before I get burned?
2. If I ignore it, will it simply go away? or do I get burned if I ignore it?

No, you have to agree to the request.

Sounds like your account has been hijacked. Press "Cancel" and do the following IMMEDIATELY;
Right now, contact Paypal security and tell them that your account has been hijacked. You do that by clicking on the "security" tab in your Paypal account.
THEN, you need to change your passwords - all of them.
THEN, you need to run several anti-spyware programs in case you got a keylogger downloaded to your computer. Spybot and Malware anti-malware are good and they're free - Google them for the download sites.
THEN, you need to change all of your passwords AGAIN, in case the keylogger had time to send the password change to another computer.
