Please help! I think I may have had over $1000 stolen from me!

Last week I sold an iPad to an ebay user, I recieved payment just fine and withdrew the money to make a car payment. Then this morning I get an email saying I have had an unauthorized payment case opened against me and my account is at -$1055! Worst of all I attempted to hold the package but they (conveniently enough) decided to open the case just after the package left the country so I can't even recover it. The person's directions were a little fishy but I looked over the the seller protection guidelines and apparently my situation fits all of them. The only problem is that it states that "you must ship the product to the shipping address on the transaction page" the buyer posted a new shipping address on the transaction page as a note so I am not sure if I'm covered.

Please someone either let me know if i'm covered or help me solve this! I really have no idea how I will be able to pay a debt this large.

ashan- I'm very sorry that you've wound up in this situation.  You are completely correct that to be covered for our Seller Protection you need to ship to the address we provide in the transaction details.  If you shipped to any other address, then that will void your coverage.  So at this point your only hope from our end is that we don't find any evidence of unauthorized access (which is possible), or that you can work with your shipping company to try and get the item back.  Just make sure that you respond to the case with your tracking, just so that way it doesn't close without any input from you.

Best of luck with everything.
