Outlook Issue

I received an email and when I try to open the email is locks up my outlook and then opens a window with the following "\\102.112.207.net\6\ss\PAYPALGLOBAL\1\G.4-NS". this will keep happening until I am able to click off the email.

Any ideas as to what is going on.

It's Oct. 17 and no end in sight for resolution of this problem; however, I found when I closed the "Reading Pane" in Outlook, the e-mails from PayPal/eBay quit crashing the system. I shouldn't have to do this, and neither should you, but perhaps it will help until (or if) PayPal takes care of this. P.S. Saw where one poster contacted PayPal on Oct. 13 and PP said it would have this fixed in 24 hours. This is the longest 24 hours I've ever seen.

PayPal has done absolutely NOTHING to assist us.  The 'fix' came from users,
then they implemented a 'fix' (I'm guessing) that broke OUR fix & still
didn't alleviate the problem.

PayPal may not feel our time is worth anything, but I'm running a business
here and they have cost me countless hours with this problem.  It would be very
nice if they reimbursed us in some way!

Last week Thursday and Friday, I spent two whole days pulling my hair trying to troubleshoot. I reinstalled outlook. I restored my PCs to the backup I made two days prior thinking Microsoft **bleep**ed up on their live updates (that HAPPENED, HAPPENS, and will HAPPEN!). I upgraded to Outlook 2010. I tried using cache mode. Then, I moved on to working on my Exchange 2010 mail servers -  moved the mailbox on my 2nd Exchange server, rebuilt the mailbox, windows-updated all my servers, All these didn't work until I stumpled on to a search result using google Friday night.

Paypal, we need a class action against you for the time you wasted us.

ANY THE PROBLEM CAME BACK SATURDAY!!!!

I run a business. Like 99% of all businesses, we run Office on Windows PC's. Now I'm losing LOTS of time due to a blunder PayPal has made.... They aren't the only online processor, and they certainly aren't the cheapest.  PayPal will fix it soon, or I'll stop using them.  End of story.

Dear Paypal,

Been reading thru the board...looks like others have diagnosed the problem for you 5 days ago.  What's the hold up?  Do we business owners need to start tweeting at CNN to investigate why it's taken so long to fix a simple EMAIL issue?

Come on now.

I totally agree with you.... Most of you are using Outlook.... I use several email readers... Incredimail being one I use the most with my customers...   The same exact issue is happening with Incredimail too.   I did the FIX everyone is talking about and it has solved my problem temporarily...  I see some are starting to have problems with the FIX so i hope that does not happen with Incredimail.    My emails do not crash the program anymore.    I send and receive hundreds of PayPal emails everyday and this was just about ready to make me go out of country to the PayPal Competitor... They are exact duplicate of PayPal and thousands use them instead of PayPal... If this keeps up... Canada here I come!

Update:  I tried posting the FIX for those that can't find it.... PayPal says it is invalid html... so...

If this link will post... you can go over to Incredimail Forum and see the Fix...

We are told this is working for Incredimail Users and Outlook Users....   It worked for me!

PayPal and only PayPal can undoe the mistake they made. All these workarounds and fixes we do is temporary and it alters our perfectly running system. We should not have to or need to do anything..

Maybe it's time to get their attention by not even viewing any PayPal notices and just be late on shipping to our customers?? This may get their attention.. or...

Start filling up eBay's email box worldwide with complaints, costing them manhours, instead of using up our tens of thousands of collective manhours waiting for a dumb link too connect or whatever the problem is..

I went to PayPal profile and changed my settings from HTML to Plain text and there is no slowdown on page load at all, but I always have clicked on transaction number to access that transaction and start shipment label printing etc.. So this is now a handicap to go to PayPAl direct and find the transaction and proceed..

Either way it still costs us a lot of unnecessary time..

PAYPAL FIX THIS STUPID PROBLEM SOON

Some say YOU CANNOT FIX STUPID, and I am starting to believe this now..

PayPal has had this issue since last Tuesday, at the very least. They have told many of us they are working on it, but they seemed unable to fix a very simple template issue. Moreover, they did not seem to care about the difficulties that many of their customers suffered. They did fix one thing, though. They convinced me to begin using Authorize.net for my eBay sales, as well as my internet stores. I will begin to phase out PayPal as a payment method. Man Mad
