PAYPAL to Pay Everyone for their inconvenience.. The good news is they will be sending a payment to everyone thru regular payment received notices. The bad news is there will be some embedded code that will lock up your email for 5 years..   In reality they have no desire to pay anyone for any of their problems and your delays, but if you delay shipping to a customer they will hold your funds util customer gets around to telling them they received the item they purchased.. It's all about making money at PayPal don't you know.. so expect nothing at all..  spend your extra time trying to find another payment processor I was told. ... View more

The information I posted was only for a workaround the PayPal issue. I also process many PayPal payments here and I am so frustrated with their incompetence after a week of this.. I wrote them as well and let them know we are all out a lot of time and money trying to work with their problem.. I am still awaiting a reply after 3 days now. The entire way I have to process now is at least 60% slower and it truly is a handicap now. If there was another way to accept payments I would be first in line.. Norm ... View more

How to defeat web bug tracking in email. In order for a web bug to track email the email must be viewed. Most people view email via a "preview pane" that divides email into two windows. The top window usually holds the From, Subject, Received, etc and the bottom window displays the selected email. When email is viewed this way any email selected is displayed in the "preview pane". Clicking a Spam email when using the "preview pane" causes the Spam to display in the preview area and informs the Spammer the email address the email was sent to is active. In order to defeat web bug tracking and have yourself removed as a "valid" email address from a Spammer's list, we recommend you not display the email via the "preview pane" option. If you do not display the email via the "preview pane" no call is made to a spammer from a web bug when you delete spam. How can I defeat web bug tracking in the Microsoft Outlook Express Email client? 1. Open Outlook Express. If not opened in Inbox by default, click Inbox 2. Click the View menu 3. Click Layout 4. Locate Preview Pane in the window that appears and remove the check 5. Click OK All mail in the Inbox is now displayed without a preview pane. From, Subject, Received etc are displayed and obvious Spam can be removed by clicking once to highlight and selecting the Delete button (or right click on the Spam entry and select Delete) To view email, double click on the From or Subject to display in a new window. PayPal and only PayPal can undoe the mistake they made. All these workarounds and fixes we do is temporary and it alters our perfectly running system. We should not have to or need to do anything.. Maybe it's time to get their attention by not even viewing any PayPal notices and just be late on shipping to our customers?? This may get their attention.. or... Start filling up eBay's email box worldwide with complaints, costing them manhours, instead of using up our tens of thousands of collective manhours waiting for a dumb link too connect or whatever the problem is..   I went to PayPal profile and changed my settings from HTML to Plain text and there is no slowdown on page load at all, but I always have clicked on transaction number to access that transaction and start shipment label printing etc.. So this is now a handicap to go to PayPAl direct and find the transaction and proceed..   Either way it still costs us a lot of unnecessary time..   PAYPAL FIX THIS STUPID PROBLEM SOON Some say YOU CANNOT FIX STUPID, and I am starting to believe this now.. ... I would not delete this MAPI file, unless you want future problems.. Just wait on PayPal to fix this..   The MapiSvc.inf file acts as the central database for MAPI message service configuration information. MapiSvc.inf contains information about each of the message services installed on the workstation, information about the service providers that belong to each message service, and information about the MAPI subsystem. MapiSvc.inf is the primary source of information for profiles. That is, when a new profile is being built or an existing one modified, relevant information for each message service or service provider is copied from MapiSvc.inf. MapiSvc.inf is divided into linked hierarchical sections: Section containing information that applies to all profiles. This section has three parts: [Services] section, providing links to each of the subsequent message service sections. [Help File Mappings] section, containing information about .HLP files provided by message services. [Default Services] section, listing message services that make up a default installation. Section containing information that applies to individual message services. Entries in these sections provide links to subsequent service provider sections. Section containing information that applies to individual service providers in a message service. The following illustration shows the organization of a typical MapiSvc.inf file. There are three message services: AB, MsgService, and MS. The name on the right hand side of the equal sign for each message service is the service's display name. Each message service has its own section elsewhere in the file that is linked to one or more service provider sections. There is one service provider section for every service provider that belongs to the message service. The AB and MS message services are single provider services whereas three service providers belong to the MsgService service ... View more

Andy, I hope you and PayPal get this resolved quickly, I don't understand why opening paypal payment received notices are stalling my Outlook 2010 on my win 7 system, I have spent many valuable hours trying to figure out what is going on, believing that a bug/virus was redirecting this information to some malware site.. Any idea when it will be corrected? I believe PayPal should be liable and compensate us membeers that have spent so much time, it is the worse type of problem to be delayed trying to use paypal email and waiting 30+ seconds for it to come back..
