Outlook Issue

I received an email and when I try to open the email is locks up my outlook and then opens a window with the following "\\102.112.207.net\6\ss\PAYPALGLOBAL\1\G.4-NS". this will keep happening until I am able to click off the email.

Any ideas as to what is going on.

I don't use OE, I use Incredimail for my mails and am having the same problem. All I get (when they open) is blank pages.

Why sould we the customer be writing scrips in to our operating system becuse PayPal are unable to write scripts?

I think you will find that its linked to tracking via a spybot and the developers have got caught out again.

this is just silly.

both paypal and out need to get their act together.

1. outlook should have error checking in place so that the software don't just keep looking for image that is not there or correct.

2. paypal should simply fix their template. with all these post, should be simple fix to put correct link in the email template.

how frustrating this is for us customers. I thought i had some horrible phishing, spoof, virous or something.

thank you all who've posted the issue to give us who know how to search discover the problem... 🙂

I called Paypal's help desk two days ago to report this problem. I was on hold for more than 30 minutes - and found this forum while on hold. When the guy came back to the phone, he told me they were forwarding my call to the Paypal Fraud Division!  I told him that was ridiculous, that this was being discussed in the community forum - and that I wanted to speak to his supervisor.  After another 20 minutes on hold, they disconnected me.  FAIL!

However - my fix is much simpler than changing out files.  I just don't open the paypal email - deleting it instead.  I go to my account to see who has paid.

That will **bleep** up exactly what they are trying to monitor - a good "bonus" for their lousy customer service.

For the past 2-3 days, whenever I receive a payment notification statement from PalPal & click on it, a blank email comes up & my email programs crash! I sure hope this is fixed soon & I hope I'm not the only one having this problem. Is there any news on this or updates?

I'm having the exact same problem - started happening early this week - EVERY email that I receive from paypal hangs my system (Outlook 2010) on this error: Contacting: \\102.112.207.net\b\ss\paypalglogal\1\G.4--NS

This just started happening this week - I see via Google many are having this same problem - very frustrating.

At least I know I'm not the only one having this problem! WHEW! I did contact PayPal & they said they're working to fix it as fast as they can. Hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later 🙂
