Its 1.9%-2.9% + $0.30USD
you only get the lower amount (which includes the 2.9%) if you bring in over $3000 in sales every year. Trust me it **bleep** I hate the fees if my clients used other people aside from paypal i would try and find a place that had lower fees.

It's based on monthly (not yearly) sales volume...
Monthly Sales Volume: Fee:
$0.01 - $3,000.00 2.9% + $0.30 USD
$3,000.01 - $10,000.00 2.5% + $0.30 USD
$10,000.01 - $100,000.00 2.2% + $0.30 USD
Over $100,000.00 1.9% + $0.30 USD

I too am a bit confused regarding paypals so called fees. I should be charged 2.5% based on my monthly volume. However, I get charged 2.0 or 3.0% I suppose they are trying to get an average which would be the 2.5%, but they are certainly being misleading. In fact, my business has multiple payments of the same amount. Amazingly enough, the percentage is always the same for that amount - either 2.0 or 3.0% (ie, every payment of $63.27 is 2.0% and every charge of $64.22 is 3.0%). I used to think it was based on the type of card used, but it couldn't be since multiple people are paying the same amounts. Who knows? I just wish here was anther good choice for online payments other than PayPal.

What is the exact fee you are charged for the $63.27 payment, and what is the exact fee you are charged for the $64.22 payment?
