How can paypal give a full refund (without my permission), to a buyer, when the item was never returned? The buyer wont reply to my emails, so basically its been stolen.

Normally paypal don't ask a buyer to return an item or refund the buyer if:-
1. Its a fake.
2. Its damaged so dangerous to send back in the post.
3. Its badly misdescribed and should not have been listed on ebay.
4. Or the buyer has posted the item and has proof of postage that is sometimes accepted.
5. The buyer returned the item but the seller did not pick it up.
If its none of those reasons then all you can do is to contact customer services.
