Paypal Scam

Hi,

Could you help me, I'm from Philippines. I sell my camera to a Ms. Gloria Doris and send the camera to South Africa without any payment I received. She ask me for my bank account. and I gave it to her. The next thing was Paypal send me a notification that a Gloria Doris send my money and deducted to her account already. Paypal ask me to send the parcel to DHL (which Ms. Gloria Doris ask me to send the camera by DHL company only). I send the parcel after 2 days to DHL, From Philippines to Pretoria, South Africa. We have instant communication with the buyer Ms. Gloria Doris. By the way the camera which I sold to Ms. Doris is a gift to her niece James Edward (a student fof photography). After I send it, I send the tracking # to paypal and they email me back that its in the verification department. After it was hold in the custom of south africa, paypal inform me again that they are waiting from customs of south africa to release the parcel. As of today, I received again another emailv that i need to pay for the customs taxes amounting of Php10,220.00. Could you help me if this is scam. Hoping from your response

THIS IS A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal and often ask you to send the item as a gift to a relative somewhere eg Africa normally.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Also if she was paying by paypal WHY WOULD SHE NEED YOUR BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS??

If you gave her those details then I would inform your bank and change any online passwords.

Hi I have a same scenario with them the Persons that I am in contact with is Maria Grace with her sending the camera as a birthday present to Vincent Derick because he is planning to take a photography. The email that they use as paypal is  in replying to my response. I hope you can help as well. Sending the Packe to Pretoria, South Africa. the I received an Email that It has been hold now they are asking to send back the money of Pesos 8220 by western union. How Can you please help I am really in trouble with no money on hand knowning that I can have my camera back or atleast I have the money.

If you have sent the camera then contact your courier and see if you can stop it.

This is a SCAM do NOT send them any money at all.
