A buyer has filed a Not Received Item against me. I can track the item to the shipping address and also see a proof of delivery signature. How do I stand as this is so disconcerting to me as an honest operator. What should I do next?

Hi sltburn1940

If you have proof of delivery you must provide the tracking no  on the case asap

I have offered a revised tracking number to the buyer after initially giving a wrong agency tracking number, after numerous info attempts the buyer has not responded. What next,, any advice will be most welcome. Thanks for your interest.

Have you given the correct tracking no and a copy of the signature  on the dispute, you must do that?

Only contact the buyer on the dispute not private emails so ppal can see

Thanks Minty. Yes I have given an updated and the correct tracking number which I used myself to track the package to the buyers address, and have put details on my replies to original notification of claim against me on PayPal web site so they will see how I am trying to resolve this problem. This shows parcel progress to date and time of delivery and also a proof of delivery signature. If the buyer uses this number he will see the same detailed progress to point of delivery and see the proof of delivery signature, Should I now escalate my problem and ask PayPal to investigate or wait to see if buyer takes it further. Thanks for helpful advice to now, much appreciated.

1. You need to make sure you add the correct tracking number to both the ebay auction in your "my ebay", and also on to the dispute in paypal or ebay.

2. Don't escalate to a claim, leave that to the buyer, if they don't escalate within 20 days the dispute will time out.

3. If the dispute is escalated then paypal will check the tracking number and if it shows siggy proof of delivery you should be ok.

4. I would also email your buyer a photoshot of the siggy of the person signing as it could be a neighbour etc and they may locate the parcel.

5. You can also get the buyers tel number if it was an ebay auction to help sort things via advanced search top of ebay pages > contact member left column > fill in the details and ebay will email you their telephone number.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Many thanks kernowlass for your advice. I have today updated the tracking number for parcel in question on the eBay auction site and again followed it through to delivery and proof of delivery signature. I have previously added the same corrected number to the replies on PayPal site so they can also follow up. I also previously emailed direct to the buyer this same corrected number. I do not know how to send an email copy of the signature to the buyer so may now have to wait to see if buyer takes issue further within 20 days. Many thanks for helpful advice, still learning.
