Hi all, im really confused and was hoping someone could clear things up for me..
I purchased an item last week and paid via paypal. The seller sent the item, i have received it fine and there is no problem.
Today i have received an email to say that the transaction is under enquiry... I have spoken to the seller and they have had the money reversed from their account whilst it is being reviewed. They are understandably upset as they think they are being scammed... i dont know why the transaction is being reviewed. The funds i used to pay for the transaction were taken directly from my paypal balance. The seller has responded to the email with all the information that paypal asked for and the status is now showing as 'being reviewed by paypal'
I didnt open the dispute and nor did the seller. What is going on?
And how long does this sort of thing normally take to sort out? Its really put me off using paypal to pay for things and I am half tempted to just return the item and get a refund
Please help

Hey there, and welcome to the community.
Was there a limitation or any request for verification on your side? Any request for change or password?
If so this could be our security system making sure it was you who made the payment and you would just need to verify some details and authorise the payment
If not, have a look in your resolutions centre, any issues would be showing in there and any open cases involving the payments.
If you are still not seeing anything do contact PayPal and the agent can explain in detail what’s happening with the payment and why it was on hold.
