I'm a new seller and I have just had my first case opened against me from a buyer from Russia only after 3 days who hasn't sent me a message on eBay.
I didn't send tracked but I thought given such a short time frame I'd have some kind of protection but apparently not...
I was told that if he is to escalate the case then he would win with no question basically.
Is there anything I can do?

Yes he will win if you can't provide a tracking number that proves delivery of the item to the buyer BUT paypal may take a bit longer for an international item to arrive before closing the dispute in his favour.
Remember tracking is for your protection not the buyers but unfortunately a lot of international countries won't have online proof of delivery of the item to the buyer.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
