I sold a phone for my son a few days ago, item was posted and payed for i drew the money and gave to my son now the buyer claims the item was not as described as there were scratches on the phone and asked for refund, I no there were no marks when posted as packaged up myself my paypal I can't use and it showing minus the fees it sold for. How can I resolve this as the phone was in imaculate condition when posted and I'm unsure why he would claim this I'm also wary as had a scam bid and emails on the same item asking me to send before payment the only thing I can think of is this some sort of scam to ,the phone had screen protecter and case and was used for 24 hours roughly and put back in box what do I do I can't use paypal now myself and the money showing minus in red help thanks jiggy

You need to wait until paypal have reviewed the claim and decided in either your or your buyers favour.

But if they do find in favour of the buyer then the buyer has to return the phone at their own expense before you have to refund.

If you receive the phone back not in the condition sent then you can appeal the refund.

eBay buyer has won case and been to old to return item what if the item is now damaged as he claims it has scratches on and I posted in new condition also I don't have the funds for refund as I sold the item for my son who had the money so where does that leave me

If the item is returned damaged you can appeal the dispute and tell paypal customer services that you have not had the phone back in the condition sent.......no one can second guess who paypal will believe though.

As for the money to refund if you are told to refund and can't then your paypal balance will stay in minus and you will probably have limited use of it.

If funds come into the account from buyers it will be used to pay off the "debt".

If you don't pay it off then paypal have been known to sell the debt to a debt collection agency.
