I recently tried to make purchases on go daddy.com and towards the end of going to my shopping cart,it asked me to choose payment method so I clicked paypal of course. my paypal is connected to my bank account and I use it instead of any kind of credit card online,it's why I got a paypal account. so then go daddy directs me to a page that wants me to add a credit card or bank card to my paypal account before letting me continue to complete my purchase. WHY??!! I've never been prompted to add a card before. I don't wish to and nor do I have a credit card. my bank account is linked to my paypal, this should be sufficient should it not? any info on this confusing matter would be appreciated. TNT

looper2004a-  Without being able to look over your account and the situation, I can only guess what the problem is.  But it is a guess with years of experience behind it, so I think it's pretty accurate.  Woot more than likely requires a confirmed shipping address before they send anything, so before the payment gets completed.

The only way we have to confirm your address is adding and confirming a credit card to your PayPal account.  So it's not telling you to add the card because it wants the payment to come from there, it's telling you to add the card so they can send the shirt under their policies, which is entirely their choice.  Once you added and confirmed the card, it would still use your PayPal balance first as you were trying to do in the first place.

Hope that answers your question.

So in order to remedy the situation i need to do the one thing i am incapable of doing.   geee thanks guys!

you know i use paypal  i have a confirmed account since 2003.  at this point paypal for me is a neccesary evil.  paypal is an entity that is marginally tolerated but not liked at all.   how you got so big with this business model is beyond comprehension.
