I recently sold an item to someone and their payment came thru on the 2nd. I shipped out the items the next day, and today on the day they received it I get this email from PayPal...really?!!? "We were recently notified that a payment you received was reversed by the buyer's bank" So what now? I don't get paid and she got the goods for free? This is crazy, I'm new to using paypal as a payment method so I have no clue what to do next. Someone please educate me!

Well I see that you are learning the truth about how paypal really works, How much did you lose? If I was you I would inform the buyer that you will be filing a police report in their town. If its an high dollar item I would go after em using local cops you would be surprised how fast you will get your money back if they know the cops are involved

Sounds like the buyers payment bounced.
Did you ship with onlive viewable Delivery Confirmation (D/C).
If so just give Paypal the D/C number which shows the package delivered.
If you can't prove delivery, how can the "cops" help you.
If you use paypal shipping D/C is free with Priority Mail and only 19 cents with Parcel Post. Media Mail, 1st Class parcel etc.
If you use Paypal shipping , Paypal will already have the D/C number if a buyer files an claim.
If you purchased the D/C at the post office just put in in the details section of the Paypal payment from the buyer.

Unfortunately I did not ship with delivery conformation, lesson learned. But I did email her and let her know that It had been reversed and that I needed payment from her. She said she used a Pre Paid Debit card to make the payment, but PayPal charged her Bank Account AND the Debit Card, so she got double charged? She called the bank to have the bank account payment reversed and apparently both were reversed? I'm not sure how that's possible since it's two completely different accounts. But, she did confirm thru email that she received the package, so if things don't go right that's technically the only thing I got. She does not seem like a dishonest person, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope she resends the payment like she said she would.
