my aunt, was sending me money as a gift for my birthday and she meant to do a money transfer but instead she did a payment and the payment accidentally went through twice so she held one payment. only one of the payments went through, which is the amount of $50.00. Im not sure how I can resolve this issue without paypal charging my account unnecessarily, because of the mistake she made. is there any way she can just cancel that payment instead of holding it? I also tried emailing paypal about this issue and i am still waiting for a response.

thanks

If you only got one payment, it's likely that she sent the other to the wroing email address.

If that's the case, when she goes to her Paypal main page, she should see 1 payment as "Pending" and there should be a "Cancel" button next to it.

If she presses the cancel button, her money should be returned.

As a side point, it's usually not good to call people "stupid" if they're sending you money - they might get over the habit.Smiley Wink
