How long must I wait for Paypal to resolve a dispute?

I sold an item on EBay, shipped it using USPS though my ad stated I would ship UPS. My buyer went ballistic, filed a claim with Paypal to hold the funds. I responded with the tracking number. The package was delivered last friday and when I review the open dispute it still says "paypal is reviewing". So I assume eventually Paypal will get off their **bleep** and see that it's been a week since I provided them with the proof of delivery and that they need to resolve this dispute once and for all. My question is, after I have posted 3 notes over the past week to be sent to Paypal to help them resolve the dispute I am not getting any sign that there is life at Paypal and that they are doing a **bleep** thing except holding my money and letting my buyer keep his item for free. We're talking $200 here and I need the money. How can I get Paypal's attention to let them know they need to do something to resolve this??

So much for Paypal's seller protection.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Yea, so I was trying sell a non-tangible item which PayPal does not cover in anyway. I saw the money in my account and thought, awesome! Then the buyer reversed his payment. I was actually talking with him and he said his account got banned. Of course this is after I already gave him the item. BTW his name was Daniel Durville so buyers beware. I don't know if it was really him or if someone hacked his account and used it fraudulently but either way, a seller has no way of knowing. It's so easy for a buyer to reverse their payment it's stupid. I replied to a claim and it said PayPal was investigating it. It's been 3 weeks and havn't heard anything from them. IMO this site should be shut down rather than have people think they are making a secure transaction.

You've said in you post that it was an intangible item, and you know its not covered, so whats your point? If you decide to use PayPal in a way that is not covered by the user agreement, you accept the risk of something like this happening. Oh, and just because you're crying about losing a dispute that you weren't covered for in the user agreement, doesn't mean you have to create 5 topics saying the same story trying to get some sympathy.

I did buy a "NEW" commercial steamer on eBay  from homestuffer and paid by paypal including shipping. Steamer is huge..Arrives ..Not New and missing 3 parts.. What truck did it fall off of. Sellers response is "you replace the parts through the factory"  I file a dispute. Seller claims parts to be replaced. Parts received are still not correct. Paypal agrees to refund my money once I provide mailing tracking number.  The seller get back their, not so new steamer and the extra parts, so he can resell it. I have now wasted 2 months and paid  $ 24.00 in return  postage.  The seller tried to bribe me to remove my comment from e-bay. As a buyer I could have bought the same quality item from a corrupt vendor at the flea market . At least I would have been able see what I was buying. Paypal does not refund shipping to the buyer, regardless of the problem with the item sold. There is no further recourse with paypal or e-bay and that  fosters unscrupulous conduct by Sellers.

This reads better than my favorite soap the Young and the Restless.  At any rate, it isn't funny, but at some point all I could do was laugh.  It is past FRUSTRATING, but I did post something for your sellers having challenges shipping because Paypal took their fees but decided to hold your shipping and items fees -
