How can I get my refund after I open disputes & Claim?

Hi....

I had a deal with a seller who sold me a radio for RC car, but it is a bad radio and cannot becontrolled.

then I email that seller and also open the disputes & claim on Apr-18-2011.

I communicated with the seller after Apr-18-2011 until now by email, and he agreed with return the item and I can get refund.

However, my question is that how can I get my refund back to my back account or paypal account?

I checked the transaction details, and the status shows:

 Apr 18, 2011Refund Completed
$175.00 USD
Apr 22, 2011Credit to Credit Card Completed
-$175.00 USD

also it shows "If you paid by debit or credit card, your refund will go to that card. Otherwise, your refund will go to your PayPal account."

Therefore, I checked withe my back account in these few days, but I haven't see any new transaction from paypal  in my back account.

On the other hand, the seller asking me to send his item back to him because the refund transaction is completed now, but I want to make sure I receive my refund before I send him back the item.

Should I close dispute & Claim before I get back my money? Or I will get my money in these few days?

Please help me out with my issue.

thanks a lot

The most you can do at this point is to just wait at least a few more days, then you can start to take other actions.

As far as sending back the item, I'd either wait until the funds are back on my account or I'd call PayPal to verify the refund was issued back to me first. After it's verified, then you should send the item back.

Thanks for ur reply. The seller said the transaction is completed and I think I have to wait unil I receive money back to my bank account before I send item back o the seller. I got one more question, I did some research last night, and I saw that I have to provide delivery conformation for the item which I want to return to seller, and then the refund will o back to my paypal account or bank account right away. So, is it correct or not? By the way, I was thinking to email paypal, but do u know how I can contact with paypal?

Well, for starters, yes, you have to proove you delivered the product to where it was suppose to go to in order to be considered having delivered the item. As far as right away getting the money back on your account, right away will be more than likely a few days from the time you show your proof.

If you have proof, now's the time to let PayPal know.

hi....thank u so much

I received my refund and it abck to my bank account yesterday.

so, I sent the item back to seller this morning and also provided the tracking number to the seller.

Do I need to close the disputes & Claim now? or I can wait until the seller receive the item?

I would wait until the items are delivered to where they need to be. You already have your money back, so you have nothing to lose.

You can also do nothing at this point and it'll close out automatically if you and (or) the seller don't reply in a specified time frame.

But, for the sake of things, contact the seller to make sure his items arrived and are safe and sound. You don't want him trying to now claim you send his goods back damaged.
