I made a claim over a week ago and now it has disappeared, and I still don't have my item like I mentioned in the dispute. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Try logging back into PayPal and going into the resolution center.  Once you get there use the pull down menu to select cases recently closed.  Is your case listed there?

I received an email from paypal stating the buyer opened a dispute,Go to ebay Resolution Center.I went there And there is No Open Cases or Closed Case on this matter.Nor is there one in Paypals Resolution Center. The case would be that she received her package damaged.I did put insurance on the package.Would I have to be the one to file for the recovery of the insurance or would it be the buyer whom has to file with the Post Office?

I have learned that if you buy insurance from the USPS that the seller has to start the claim and put the buyer down to receive the refund. The post office will send a letter to the buyer to bring in the damaged item as they received it and they will get their refund. But Paypal does not feel they can MAKE the the buyer take the damaged package to the post office so you may not be able to get the insurance coverage you paid for. Good Luck

eBay & PayPal told me the opposite today! I was told that it is the seller's responsibility to get the package to the buyer. The seller has to insure the item but can not make the buyer pay for insurance however they can cover the cost by charging a handling fee. If an item is lost or damaged the seller has to refund the money to the buyer and then put in a claim with the post office. The seller then collects the money from the post office

Check with your local post office. Mine stated that the person who receives the damaged item has to be the one to take the item to the post office, in order for the insurance to be paid for that item, They told me that if the person who received the damaged items returns the item to the mailer the insurance is null and void. I would check with your post office.

Hope this helps
