has anyone else had problems with the above company as I took a risk and purchased from them 3 weeks ago and they provided a tracking number, I have not received the item from them, and the tracking number cannot be found.

PS I am pretty sure I have been scammed although I have only lost £60 and it was a chance I was willing take, I do not want anyone else to take the same chance.

I ordered a corner lamp on august 8th, was sent a tracking number that never worked, then when i went to look at their website it no longer exists. I started a dispute on paypal august 31st, and it was denied this morning (october 10th), the merchant said the item was delivered. Yesterday, october 9th, i got a random package with a little wooden doll. I matched the tracking on the package and sure enough that was my "delivered lamp". This place is a huge scam and paypal wont help with anything if you try to dispute.

I was just told flat out they can't help me and instead to reach out to my financial institution. I have been a PayPal user for over 17 years and I have never had such issues, this is utterly disappointing. I have already closed my business account as a result and removed from all of my reoccurring payment sites. I truly feel that this is larger than a case by case problem but a problem with the company as a whole. We are not the paying customers, it is the businesses that pay and as such we are being treated as the lesser of the two. Without consumers, businesses won't pay so get your priorities straight.

Someone just called into the Jeremy Vine radio show on UK BBC2 radio talking about this topic (15 Oct 2020). They ordered a game console and received a sub-standard item. They complained to the seller and was told to return to China or accept a partial refund.

Paid via PayPal and was told return it before getting the PayPal refund.

There is a lot of this happening from lots of Chinese sellers.

@ eleenonlinetrade thing is PayPal isn’t standing behind the customer... My email from them states they ruled in my favor, all I need to do is send the item back... I’m like you couldn’t have read the entire dispute... HELLLOOO that’s one of my issues: paying to return an incorrect item.... I may just have to lose the money, because to even accept a 10 or 20% refund may be a scam as well... I may try BBB to see if they can help... It’s not the money, it’s the principle at this point...

So after 2 months I got fed up and decided to message PayPal and asked to submit more evidence. The evidence I submitted was a link to this thread and the person who reviewed it decided to close the case there and then in my favour. This is the reply I had - Hello (name) . My name is Yan and I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand that you'd like to submit an evidence to the case. Thank you for letting us know about this. I am happy to let you know that I have closed the case in your favour now. The payment of $30.01 (or £24.91) will be credited to your card ending with XXXX in 5-7 business days or up to 30 days depending on your card issuer. In case you do not receive the funds by 27th of Oct, you may also reach out your card issuer, so that they can help you locate this. If your card is no longer active, it will go directly to your bank account linked with the card within the given timeframe. Also, be assured that as you'd reported the seller to us, we are already investigating their account and we may even decide to limit or lock their account permanently. I appreciate that your brought this to our notice again. If there's anything else you'd like me to check, do feel free to let me know. Feel free to reply whenever you're ready and we'll reply as soon as we can. So.... in conclusion all you need to do is send a link to this thread and they will close the case in your favour. Hope you all get it solved 🙂

Now paypal asked me to send the 1 £ skipping rope back to the scammer. So I got the return address, I wonder is this is real or fake address.

Shipment to send it back cost 12£ - this will be refunded by paypal.  So now scammer scams us and paypal and paypal still does very little to protect buyers.  My case us open from 29 of August!
