Friday the 28th of June, $500 was taken out of my Paypal account through Walmart cash out, Paypal has been no help and closed the case, saying It's Walmart that's at fault. Walmart, also has been no help, I have chatted, called and emailed them to resolve this, but no help so far. I have two different transaction ID's, but they can't seem to find which Walmart the transaction took place at. Anyone else had this happen? Very frustrating, seems like either party wants to take responsibility. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I received an email today that $500 was deposited back into my account (withdrawal was on 2/16). This was after 1) denial of claim, 2) denial of appeal, 3) a minimum of 5 phone calls to PayPal, and 4) me specifically asking on my 5th phone call where this transaction took place in relationship to where I live and was told (Vietnam?) New Jersey. I do not live in the continental U.S. The claim should never have been denied, or even the appeal. What kind of 'investigatory' work are they (PP) doing to deny the scam happened in the first place. They are obviously aware of this issue as it dates back to July 2019.

On feb 8th I was scammed for 500.00 at a walmart during the meantime I wasn't even at a walmart. I even have a reciept at a current store and VIDEO during the meantime this all took place. I tried filing a dispute with paypal and they denied it immediately. They said "it was consistent with my transaction history" Throughout my 10 years of paypal I have never called or disputed any kind of these charges let alone EVER withdrew money from wal-mart. This is seriously insane for Paypal for not taking care of their customers. Apparently this is has been going on for some time as I can see in this paypal community and its amazing Paypal doesn't step up and take care of their customers. Paypal customer is also useless, they keep telling me to call wal-mart but even wal-mart themselves cant even pinpoint where the transaction was done.

I did finally get my money back. I wrote a letter to their legal team with all paperwork included and when I didn't hear back from them in 2 weeks I made a report on the BBB. Surprising my money was deposited back into my acct. I wasn't alerted that it was, I just checked my acct and it was back in there. I will not keep a high balance in the acct anymore because it was too stressful to think about losing $500. Sorry this happened to you. Don't give up.

Thanks again for replying I tried contacting them VIA Twitter/Facebook, at this point they're not even looking at my messages

one thing I found from research on here is to check the transaction number from your email about the withdrawal to the transaction number on your account with the withdrawal. Mine didn't match so I send them that with my letter it seemed like another part of the puzzle.
