Scammed

Hello, an advert popped up on my Instagram for discounted gymshark leggings. It was only after I placed my order that i realised the webpage was a fake selling counterfeit goods. I immediately messaged paypal to try to stop the money from coming out of my account and emailed the Chinese company asking for my order to be cancelled. The seller refused to give me a refund. The clothing arrived and as expected, was counterfeit. I logged another paypal dispute and was given a Chinese return address. I paid for the Royal Mail track and trace service and can see the postal service have repeatedly tried to deliver the package but no one is answering. The seller is no longer responding and my paypal messages keep being closed with just a generic rely to say it’s being looked into. This has been going on for months- can anyone help please?

Contact customer services and appeal citing you did everything asked of you.

Paypal phones are mostly non operational since covid but sometimes you get lucky. (use the guest option if you can't log in).
If there is one available it will show when you click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available in your country.
Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

If that doesn't work then if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then consider a chargeback?

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
