Can we get a refund from a scam?

Most scam victims reported no. A few lucky ones yes. First file a dispute, PP will contact seller and set a resolution date, which could be pushed back repeatedly. If PP hears nothing from seller before resolution date then you win and get refund. If seller provides tracking number that shows something was delivered (to your zipcode) then PP policy is that seller has fulfilled his/her end of transaction and close case. It's utterly unfair and it's a giant loophole that scammers are taking advantage of for years. PP has done nothing (till very recently, I'd heard that some policies are being changed).

Sorry about this but I have never done this before and you can call me stupid when it comes to this but I did that and the person received the money and now paypal is saying transaction unauthorized transaction. It was a transaction and now I lost all that money I paid these people to adopt a puppy

I have had a couple of these scams, i ordered an electric car jack, and recieved a small empty plastic box. Another time i complained to PayPal that the item was not recieved the company said it was PP agreed with them even though i told them my cctv would proove diferent still no joy from PP, it needs sorting these problems are happening too often.

Possibly although I filed a dispute against Shopping Technology Inc because I had ordered some shoes from them and I never got them. I filed the dispute and it was found not in my favor the company gave them some kind of bogus tracking information saying that the shoes had been delivered. And PayPal believed them so I was out the money and no shoes to boot. There were many comments on here about people with the same problem with the same company and to my knowledge nobody got their product or their money back. Good Luck I hope it works for you!

Also for some reason PayPal is taking its time approving refund for me. 

 

There's not way to mail them now... No that it ever helped before - I had to call support to ask that my case will be done. 

 

I feel like I was branded by PayPal.
