I have two transactions on resolution centre was closed by paypal.

I have ordered a table - received a table cross.

The merchant didn't respond.

HOwever Paypal closed the issue with no reason.

On Facebook there is a thread about this merchant. A lot of people experienced, and they got refund.

Why only me didn't get refund?

I think this is a race issue and PayPal closed the issue as I am Japanese. If it's not race issue, then why other people are getting full refund, without sending back the items?

Which dispute did you open?

Did you escalate to a claim?

What happened?

Did paypal ask you to return the item?

Did you get fake tracking or did you receive something?

Please don't pull the race card its ridiculous when paypal offer their services in over 200 countries worldwide.

Which dispute did you open?

Not as described – claim

Did you escalate to a claim?

No, I don't know how to escalate a claim. There is no button or anything, Paypal just closed the case.

What happened?

I ordered a table. They sent me a cheap table cross. It's a SCAM, and is discussed on Facebook. A lot of people claimed they received the same thing.

I also ordered another item from another merchant. I ordered a kitchen storage. They sent me a cheap fan. They offered 40% off, however I said this is a scam and they should refund 100%. Paypal also closed without any explanation.

Did paypal ask you to return the item?

No. They just closed the cases.

Did you get fake tracking or did you receive something?

I received something very small. As described above, I ordered a large table and large kitchen storage. They sent me a small table cross and a fun.

Please don't pull the race card its ridiculous when paypal offer their services in over 200 countries worldwide.

Then please explain why they treat me differently. Please don't use 'Race card' card to stop claiming institutional racism. This is what BLM is for. Or have you already forgotten about what happened to George Floyd? And You forgot about what happened in London? All coloured people said, we are all experiencing racism. Do not just shut down because this is a racism.

You lost the dispute because you failed to escalate within 20 days, not because of your race !!

That is frankly ludicrous when ANYONE whatever race, colour, creed etc will lose a dispute if they fail to escalate it.

When you open a dispute you get an email to tell you to escalate if you need to, there is also that information in the FAQ help section OR you could have asked on here.

To escalate all you had to do was click on 'view' and the 'escalate the dispute to a claim' option would have been on that page.

Sadly as you didn't and you are only allowed x1 dispute per transaction then you lucked out.

If you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card then maybe consider a chargeback via your card issuer?

Best to open another thread to ask a question otherwise it may get missed, however heres how to open a dispute.

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item OR service
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website (or you receive a totally different product).

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. Paypal will review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click on the transaction and use the resolve a problem option at the bottom of that details page.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

Do not close the dispute until you have a refund or your item.
If a seller states that they can't refund until you have closed the dispute don't believe them.
Escalate the dispute to a claim within 20 days (before it times out), if you need Paypal to get involved.

If you lose because the seller provides a fake tracking number then post back here for more advice.
If the item arrives and its not what you ordered / not as described then make sure you change the dispute quickly from non receipt. If the dispute times out before you can change it then contact customer services to open a second dispute for the new reason.

Activate the below link in case you have to return the item at Paypals request (or the correct one for your country as this is the U.S link).

https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/returns

If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will issue a chargeback.
