Refunds on Pending Payments

Hello, I have recently filed a claim regarding an item that I have sent back due to it being a counterfeit item. I need a refund on this item, however, I have to wait for the claim to expire or be resolved. During this process, the seller has to respond to PayPal in order for this to go through. What happens if the seller lies about me returning the item, despite me having an e-receipt for the delivery service. Thank you.

I inderstand that you were to file a claim against the merchant.  Whats gonna happen is that we are giving the merchant a maximum of 10 days to respond to a claim, just in case merchant reply whats gonna happen is that we will be reviewing the evidence that this merchant presented in case the evidence presented is invalid then the case will be closed into your favor and money will be refunded back to you.  Now if the case was closed in favor of the merchant then you can file an appeal via resolution center or you can contact our customer service to make an appeal.  Hope i was able to answer your concern.

Good day @FelicityC, I hope all is well. @Teddy25 is actually correct regarding the process to file an appeal in case you are not happy with the initial decision. I just wanted to apologize that you have to wait until your case is resolved before a refund is initiated. However, it really is good to know that you already have this e-receipt for the delivery service. As we ultimately rely on the tracking number, rest assured that once our back office reviews your claim and that the status of the tracking shows "Delivered" to the correct return shipping address then your claim will surely be closed in your favor to get your money back.
