Its a spoof NEVER CLICK ON ANY LINKS IN EMAILS.

Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.

I got the same exact email today, first thing that struck me as odd, aside from the fact that I know I didnt place that order, was that it said I placed it at 730 tonight, but when I saw the email, it was only about 3 this afternoon. I just feel fortunate that I havent put my card info in paypal yet.

Hi Cynthia_1008 Got the same message today/evening. "Transaction ID: 52E57215D32037740" It's one of if not the best counterfeit messages yet. Almost too perfect. The biggest clue is that all the details are encapsulated in boxes. Paypal DOES NOT DO THAT! So I went into the app... Couldn't find it, regular PayPal website... Can't find it. So, it's a Phishing spam scam. Don't click in anything. Forward it to: Spoof@paypal.com That's the legitimate spam hunter/security thing for PayPal. Then either delete or put into a folder for future use if needed.
