Paypal Account Permanently Limited Without Explanation

My Paypal account was permanently limited this morning. I found out through an email with no prior warning, and neither phone support nor the aup email support is willing to provide me the reason they blocked my account. I only use it to buy and sell personal clothes occasionally on eBay and Grailed, and can't imagine what I did that would justify a ban. Incredibly frustrating.

Anyone else have a similar experience or have any luck dealing with this? Any strategies to actually figure this out??

Are you selling any brand name merch? Have to be careful of that. Could be violating trademark that certain companies don't want being sold and you're not authorized dealer. That's the only thing I can think of.

I did just resell a pair of my used Saint Laurent boots on Grailed. Would this violate their Acceptable Use Policy? Tons of people sell name brand merchandise on Grailed - it's what their entire site is based on, and it all runs on Paypal.

Yeah, I know this about Grailed, that's why I brought it up. I also have observed reports in the forums of problems/disputes/scams through Grailed too so it's just a risk assessment thing for PayPal but who really knows because they're not obligated to disclose why you were banned due to security reasons. File a complaint with bbb.org so your account can be passed to PayPal's office of Executive Escalations for review. Write a letter explaining what happened (without emotion, calm, professional) and that you would like to keep using PayPal and think it may be a misunderstanding or a false positive that your account has been selected to be suspended, etc and would like someone to look into it. Perhaps offer to accept a rolling reserve on your account to lower the risk for PayPal. And cross your fingers.

Thanks for the tip, I filed the complaint with BBB. Do I need to email anyone at the office of executive escalation? PayPal now seems to have banned my ip from accessing the site - I’m typing this from my phone. Seems pretty excessive now, if not ridiculous.
