So I had $200 because I sold stuff on ebay and then PayPal said my account is going to be permanently limited due to potential risk (don’t even understand what that means and it doesn’t make sense at all) so I lost my $200 and I lost my PayPal account... I would like to remove all my details from PayPal but they won’t let me do that because my account is permanently limited, it’s just stupid if your going to take someone’s money at least let us remove our bank details from your crap platform

They won't let you remove financial info in case users get the idea to open up another PayPal account to work around their banned account. Even if you remove it, PayPal will still have a record of it on file for security and possible regulation and law enforcement purposes in general.

Have to wait 180 days before you can withdrawal in case a dispute is filed against your account and what's left over can be withdrawal when PayPal emails you.

Could be a misunderstanding or a false positive that your account was flagged so need to reach out to customer service for an appeal but due to the pandemic and subsequent reduced staff, responses are taking longer:

  1. Log on.
  2. Click HELP at the top menu.
  3. Scroll down and click CONTACT US.
  4. Scroll down to click CALL US or other contact options.
