I ordered a bartender kit, they sent a dodgy pocket flask worth maybe $2
I have spent 6 weeks in dispute and it comes down a full refund if I return their dodgy item...at a cost of $13 to myself.
I dont understand why PayPal allows this behaviour. Its clear they have seen other disputes with them.

Chinese Web Sites or on Social Media ads easy to spot (once you know the below signs) so buyer beware.
1. No return address on the returns policy............thats because the site will look as if its in your country (where they despatch goods from) BUT they will ask for returns to go back to China (returns depot) at a shipping cost nearly always more than the item is worth.
2. No contact telephone number............if you click on contact the most you will get is webmail or an email address.
3. No company address information.
4. Great looking items at bargain prices that turn out to be tat.
In the event of a dispute you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you buy from that seller / item / country because....
Paypal state this >>
PayPal is not obliged to reimburse you for any costs that you incur to comply with any of PayPal’s requests for cooperation for the purpose of resolving the problem (including, without limitation, costs that you incur to return a SNAD item to the Payment Recipient or another party as PayPal requests), although sometimes it may reimburse these costs.
Although they will compensate you for some of the cost if you have activated this at some point before you made that transaction.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

How did you get PayPal to see the light? They know that hundreds of people have been scammed by this company, yet they are insisting that I send the item back (and the address is crazy...no way will it get there) and they will only refund the money when the seller says that they have the item back - which is impossible, because the address is so obviously false. Sounds like you were the one lucky buyer in many hundreds.

To answer the question.
I was so incensed, I sent a very very impassioned message laying everything out ahgain to PayPal via direct message. At the same time I gave some pretty unflatering feedback due to how I was feeling.
Fotunatley, I got response from someone via the message asking for a picture of what I received.
this was reviewed and it would seem someone with the power to do so, took it on board and closed the case immediatley with full refund.
My experience with ONHUI gave me no assurance they would honour their end of the agreement. and possibly not report recipt of returned item.

That's what I did, but I got a never ending succession of people who could only give the answer written on their scripts. I was promised a callback from a manager - grudgingly - but that did not happen. Finally, after the money was refunded by PayPal, the callback from a manager that I was promised came through. Absolutely no point by then, as the money was already refunded. Apart from the postage, which apparently is a 'different department' so he could nothing about it. I am not going to use PayPal any more. Which means I won't use eBay, either. Lesson learned, here.

Have you activated the 'return shipping on us' link in your paypal account so you can claim those return costs back again (or some of them).
