Hi,
I'm being asked to verify my identity but unfortunately my UK passport elapsed in 2018 and I don't drive or have any other form of photo ID.
In the simplest, simplest language and without directing me via links here there ad everywhere, please can someone just tell me in plain English if there are valid alternatives to a photo ID or do I need to go out and organise a new passport at extra cost? Which I can do, but obviously if there is a less-costly way round it within the rules, ie. providing a P60 form or something similar, than that would be great. I'm UK born and residing in the UK. Thanks very much.

The following proof of identity documents are typically accepted by PayPal:

- State or Government Issue ID
Documents must include information such as first and last name, date of birth, issuance and expiry date, as well as the document ID number. The name on this document must match the name you've registered on your PayPal account.
