Kicked of PayPal and they kept my money.

Hi community and thanks in advance for any thoughts and ideas.

I have been with PayPal, eBay, and Gunbroker.com for 20 plus years.  I  enjoy 100% rating on eBay and an A+ rating on Gunbroker.com.  Never had a dispute with PayPal.

6 months ago a Gunbroker.com buyer paid me on PayPal without be asked to do so and without my knowledge.  I received an immediate notification from PayPal that i was kicked off PayPal with no appeal.  Didn't seem reasonable, but what can you do?  They told me twice that i had to wait 6 months to receive the almost $1,200. in my account.  They wanted to be sure there was money for any charge backs.  There were none.

6 months has now arrived and i went to PayPal todya 08/26/2020 to make arrangements to get my money released.  To my surprise there was only one transaction.  PayPal on August 13th transferred my funds to PayPal.  Yep, they stole it.  And you cant talk to anyone.  They said, quote "$1,177.37 USD posted on aug 13, 2020 to PayPal for Paypal's damages caused by Acceptable use policy violation."

Not sure how they were damaged.  What if there had been $100,000?  They damaged my ability to do business and they stole my money.  And you cant talk to anyone there.

Doesn't seem at all fair for them to say you get your money in 6 months and then they steal it.  How about sorry and thanks for all the years of business dealings and here is your money?

Any ideas?

Thank you.

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal holds any funds for 180 days as that is the same time frame that buyers have to open paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened against you in 180 days then 'normally' you are allowed to withdraw the funds as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

Your best bet is to wait until the phones are back up and running and then phone customer services so that you can speak to an agent.
Then they can help advise on how you can withdraw the funds if and when you are allowed to do so.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
