False advertisement

I had to send an item back because it wasn’t what they advert. But I had to pay for the return shipping? This is so unfair on PayPal’s behalf because my money is supposed to be secured from fraud.? So why am I paying the shipping and the companies not?

This is how PayPal resolves SNAD disputes. PayPal has no idea whether the seller did it intentionally or but they ruled in your favor so seller has to accept a return and refund you. They lose out on the order and the original shipping costs. PayPal cannot refund more than what you paid in the dispute and cannot force seller to offer return shipping.
