I am a researcher with a Ph.D. degree and I submitted an article for a journal claiming to be a Scopus indexed journal. Then I paid the publication fees. But I found that the journal is fake and it is not indexed in Scopus. I found also that the journal is stealing the name of the original journal. I talked with the seller and asked for a refund. But he rejected. I escalated the issue to PayPal. But the verdict was in favor of the seller!!. There is a violation of the description of the journal and PayPal considered that not an issue. What should I do? I am really not happy that the seller goes away with the money while he is a predatory fake journal. I want others also to know this issue so that they will not have the same problem as mine. Looking for suggestions from the community.
