A friend sent me money some time ago (as a gift) and is now asking for a refund (we don't talk anymore), he was in the US/Portugal and I'm in Brazil. I know PayPal doesn't have Buyer Protection for personal transactions, but my PayPal seems to think it was a purchase and my balance is in the negatives. What do I do?

Unfortunately no, I think there's something about sending money as a purchase vs as personal to a friend or something like that but only in the US (if I'm not mistaken, you should look into the type of payment it was) but it wasn't my case and I had to pay it back, sorry you're going through it too, good luck!
