Bank Reversal

I bought a "buy it now" item on eBay and paid for it with the checking account tied to my paypal account.  Then less than an hour later, I cancelled the order.  The information I got from eBay suggested that it would be refunded in less than 2 days.  That never happened. 5 Days later I opened a "refund not received" dispute through paypal.  The seller won the dispute by claiming he attempted the refund- but claimed there was some problem on my end that resulted in the payment not going through. Instead of appealing the case with paypal- I changed it to  "item not received".   I also called my bank and asked them to check- they told me that there was no attempt at a refund and they would never reject one.  My bank suggested that I open a dispute through them- which I did.  The next day I called my bank again and they told me that I had won the dispute- they promised that the money would be in my account the next day- I so I immediately canceled the dispute with paypal.   After I closed the paypal dispute I received a refund from the seller- but it was $100 less than what I had paid.  In the meantime- I didn't receive the payment from my bank -I called and they told me that it turned out they had sent me some paperwork that needed to be filled out.  When it arrived- I filled it out- including the explanation that I had received a refund $100 less than the full amount from the seller- so I was only requesting $100, instead of the full amount.  2 days later- I received a refund from my bank -but it was for the full amount.  The next day paypal took back the initial refund and opened a dispute on my behalf.

The dispute that is still open gives me the option of cancelling the bank dispute.   I'm wondering- what will happen if I cancel the bank dispute?  Will I automatically get the initial refund back (the one that is $100 short)?  If I pursue the bank dispute and win- will I get the full amount?  if I pursue the bank dispute and lose- will I automatically get the initial refund back (the one that is $100 short)?

Thanks in advance!
