Anyone else been scammed by brevilleespressomachine.com and PayPal refuses to help?

I ordered from a website and the checkout ended up with a payment to a personal PP account. Long story short- I found other reviews of several people saying this website took their money, gave them fake tracking(numbers that originated before their purchase date, etc). This happened to me. No items ever received. No responses to emails. The email associated with the PP has been disabled by the user. I opened a claim and PP closed it with no explanation as to why. I have screenshots of all the reviews others have left about this business. Can’t call because there’s no customer service via phones. It’s been two days since I sent messages with all screenshots, entire story of what’s happened. And I get no replies from them. I have been out of work since lockdown. I don’t have money to eat every day at this point, my side hustles aren’t helping enough. But I wanted to get these batteries and charger for my stepdad’s drill for Father’s Day. $37 is a lot of money for me, and I want it back if I didn’t get the damn items!

Which dispute did you open?

Did you escalate to a claim before it closed?

How did you sent the payment?

How did you fund the paypal payment.

Same thing happened to me and I have been waiting for a reply from PayPal but nothing yet. My next step is to forward it to the fraud division of my local police department and a Federal fraud investigator I know. Seems to me PayPal is assisting in a criminal activity by not blocking a know and reported scammer.

The same exact thing happened to me with this seller in early April.  As soon as the transaction took place I realized it was a scam, and notified PayPal immediately.  The seller would not respond, and provided a fraudulent UPS tracking number.  I've been trying to get Paypal's help for months, to no end.  Above all, I wanted them to take action so that other people wouldn't get scammed.  I also believe I should have buyer's protection according to their terms. However, I've had absolutely no customer service!!  They keep closing my dispute, even when I got confirmation emails from UPS.  I know this has been a difficult period of time in the world, but I'm appalled by the lack of help from a company whose profits have only increased 25-30% in the last couple of months.
