Sent money to wrong Email Address- How will this affect me and my payment?

Okay,

I'm a brand new user on here, made my first transaction to get a ball python (Yay me!)

only I misspelled the email address!

I've cancelled the payment, but will I get my money back?

I'm not even sure the email address I send it to is valid!

Please help, or I'm out 50 dollars!

Welcome to the boards!

Yes, if you cancelled the transaction, you will receive the funds back.  PayPal will place them in your balance as soon as the bank transfer arrives (if you paid via bank) or will send them back to the card (if you paid via card).  Bank transfers take about 5 to 7 business days to arrive and card issuers have access to the funds immediately (though they sometimes take a bit of time to credit you).  Either way, you'll definitely get the funds back if it's been cancelled.
