How long do instant payments from Bank take to show up online banking

How long does it take for instant transfers from my bank account to show up on my online banking. I know the payment went through correctly, but it hasn't shown up on my online banking account account yet and it has been around 24hours, maybe 23 but yea almost 24 hours. It has not shown up online my bank account yet, does that mean it went to the credit card I have as a "backup" instead, or does it take quite a while for paypal instant transfers to show up on online banking. I have way more then enough funds in my bank and I know it is linked correctly because I have made the slow 6-8 day transfer from bank to paypal before.

Vendor issued me a credit 5 days ago and the transaction is confirmed on my account page. This amount has not shown up in my bank account. How long does PayPal withhold money?

Transfers to PayPal from banks and from PayPal to banks both go through the ACH process, which is typically 5-7 business days. When you have a credit card backup funding source and Instant Transfer is selected as your funding option, PayPal will pay the seller immediately on your behalf, and be reimbursed once the funds clear from your bank.

It's kind of neat that your questions stacked up this way, because james44121's answer leads right into yours. It sounds like the vendor issued your credit in that in-between time, after PayPal paid the money up-front for you, but before the funds finished clearing from your bank. In those situations, the funds from the refund become available for withdrawal or use once they have cleared from your bank.
