Hi there,
I searched for this, found similar questions/answers but not specifically this issue.
Under "Manage Currencies" I added several currencies (Swiss Franc, USD, euro). My default currency is Swiss Franc.
I have one credit card I'd like to use for Swiss Franc and I just added a new credit card I'd like to use for euro and USD.
I need this to avoid the paypal currency conversion. I'd like the original currency (euro or USD) to be charged on my other credit card.
Is this possible or to achieve (asking because I didn't find any option to specify which currency should be charged to which card) or should I create a separate paypal account, add the new credit card there and make the default currency euro for that account?
Thank you for letting me know and best ragards

Hi firepol,
Thanks for posting.
If you have a card that is in a currency other than the one that it is being charged in we can help you fix this. You will not be able to do it yourself but all you need to do is send an email. Click contact at the end of the page, then email us and choose the topic that is closest to your issue. You will be asked to enter the last four digits of your card then your message. Please just request that the currency of your card is updated and specify the currency you would like it changed to.
I hope this helps.

Hi - is it possible to have different currency denominated credit cards on the account at one time?
Say, both a GBP and a USD one. Then USD payments automatically route to the USD card and GBP payments automatically route to the GBP card, with PayPal not doing any conversions?
Many thanks

Did you ever manage to do this?

Hi Baruch,
Welcome to our Community 🙂
Although it's possible to have different currency denominated credit cards on an account at one time, our system won't automatically route the payment to the card in the related currency.
The routing is actually based on what card you've selected as primary.
However, you can manage this type of thing on a transaction by transaction basis, by choosing your USD card as primary before a USD transaction and your GBP card as primary before a GBP payment.
I hope that makes sense and please let me know if you have any further queries about this process,
Conor

I can't add my USD card. My primary card is from an Israeli account and is in ILS. My USD card is from an US account, but when adding a new card I don't have the option of changing the country of the billing address (my US card and account are billed to an US address)

Hi Baruch,
Thanks for posting 🙂
I see you're yet to receive a response to this post from one of our other members.
I think I can explain what is happening here though.
PayPal is designed to be country specific so you can really only add a US card to a US PayPal account and an Israeli card to an Israelian PayPal account. As a result, the billing address of a card you're adding cannot be in a different country 😞
Does that make sense?

Was there ever a definitive answer on this? I live in the USA but have a Dutch bank account, which uses my USA address. I set up a Paypal for the Dutch account/credit card and a separate one for my USA account/credit card. Everything worked fine until PP wanted me to resolve a limitation due to me trying to send some cash as a wedding gift to the UK. I'm supposed to prove my address in NL but it is in USA and the drop down list only has one choice. The NL bank and credit card company both have my USA address as the account address so this all above board. In this day and age of globality, this should not be so difficult.
