Credit card refund question

Hi,
I purchased somthing from a vendor with my old credit card (Credit Card A) via Paypal in January but the credit card I used to made the purchase expired in Feburary. So I took it off from my profile and updated with another credit card (Credit Card B) before my new Credit Card A arrived. But a few days ago the vendor made a refund to my old credit card (Credit Card A).
So my question is: Is the refund going to my Credit Card A even if it is not in my profile anymore? (Credit Card A is still valid.)
Thanks,

Welcome to the Community!
Whenever a payment is funded by a card, and then later cancelled or refunded, we always send it back to the same card that was used to make the purchase (in your example, Card A).
There are two exceptions to this, both of which are very rare. The first is if the old card information on file with PayPal had an expiration date that has since passed. Since we don't know the current expiration date, we'd be forced to place the refund in your balance instead.
The second would be if the card company rejects the refund for any particular reason. In this instance as well, we would place the funds in your balance.
Thanks!
Adrian
