I can't believe that in today's age Paypal can't have 2 accounts with the same bank info. My guess would be that the majority of married couples have joint accounts...and in today's economy very possibly only 1 account like ourselves. Is this archaic policy going to change any time soon? And don't tell me to set up an additional bank account (with the fees that they charge!) just to use Paypal. My husband still has our old, cancelled bank account linked because we have no other info to give them. Is there any way for us to use the same bank account? Thanks.

Up until today I've been able to pay my ebay account using a joint paypal account that belongs to me and my husband. Now I have been denied access to our paypal account because I'm using my own email address?
This is going to create a lot of problems for paypal....as husbands and wives have joint bank accounts, credit cards etc...Why weren't we notified in advance about this new procedure? Grrrrrr....Not happy at all..

I am planning on deleting my own paypal account. My husband has his own paypal account also. We have the same banking information.
Since we can't use the same banking info on both accounts, I am going to delete my paypal account.
I was just wondering, if I do delete mine, will we then be able to re-enter our same banking info on his account (even though I deleted mine). I need to know before I delete my account.

why dont you remove the banking info from your paypal account first. just remove all credit cards and bank accounts. then close your paypal account... just to be sure. then you can continue on using one paypal account.
I dont see what the problem is about having to share the same paypal. unless it's around xmas, where you have to keep what ur buying people a secret, why not both of you use the same account???

Although you dont see the problem in a couple "sharing" a paypal account, I dont see a problem with a couple having their own accounts and using their same banking information. It makes no sense. It had nothing to do with security. Both accounts can be verified. Both of our names on on the checking account. Its something paypal needs to fix and get their stuff together for their customers.

Hey all,
I know that this is frustrating and a big pain point for customers. Personally I agree that it's a good idea, so I'm going to pass it along and we'll see what we can do with it. I'll let you know if (or when) we have more news.
