PayPal wants me to add another credit card to print shipping label??

Hello,

I'm pretty new to Ebay and Paypal and want to print a shipping label from an Ebay sale.  I already have a credit card on file and PayPal wants me to add another credit card to my account to print the label.  Why is this?

It sounds as if there may be an issue with the credit card that is already on file.  This issue is likely making it unavailable for payments at the moment.

There are two main items to check.

First, does the card expire in the next thirty days?  If so, the imminent expiration may be the issue.  Update the card as soon as possible to make it available as a back up funding source for label payments. 

If the card is not expiring within 30 days, the second most likely cause would be that the card is undergoing the link and confirm process or needs to undergo that process.  This procedure works by charging a $1.95 to the card.  Once the card is charged, view the statement to retrieve a four digit code from the charge description.  Return to PayPal, enter the code to confirm the card, and it should be available again. You'll receive the $1.95 back in your PayPal balance once the process is completed.

You can view the status of the card in the Profile section.  When viewing your list of cards on file, if there is a "Link and Confirm My Card," use that to initiate the process.
