Hi, I'm new to the forum... I read around on how to fix the updating bug by just calling the service center, but every time I try to get to the phone number, I get a bad request... Can anyone give me the service center phone number please?

Hi Saicreed, and welcome to the forums!
If you're getting a Bad Request error on a PayPal webpage, try clearing the cookies and cache in your browser, then shut it down and wait a couple of moments, then open your browser and try going to PayPal.com again. Don't follow any links to get there, just type the URL into the browser address bar. If it continues to occur, try a different browser.
Support numbers can't be posted in the forums. There are a few reasons for this. Obtaining the number from the site ensures that you get the correct and up to date number for your region, and one that is absolutely legitimately PayPal Customer Solutions. This keeps your information safer.
I hope this helps! Let us know how it works out. 🙂

Hi lost36, and welcome to the forums!
The PayPal account you were previously using may not be closed. Try logging in with your old information and see if you're able to get in. Then you can remove the credit card and/or close the account fully.
If you're still having trouble, your best bet is to call Customer Solutions and give them the credit card number over the phone. The representative can confirm some identification information and discuss both accounts, so any adjustments needed on either can be completed real time. To reach Customer Solutions, log into your new account and click "Contact Us" and the "Call Us".
I hope this helps!

I am new to the forum... I can't ADD/EDIT credit cards. I get an error screen every time and it's been down like this for over three weeks. Three calls to Customer Service over three weeks yield the same response.... "it's a PayPal glitch and they are working on it". It's hard to believe that such a critical problem could take so long to solve. Meanwhile, I can't use my account for shoping in the usual way. I've used PayPal for many years and have never had a problem like this, before.
It's not the cache, or browser, or cookies. I see the exact same failure on several different computers.
I would like an authoritative comment re: this from someone.
Thanks.

I removed a card that I was letting expire from my account and now cannot add a new card to my account. The process keeps telling me the card cannot be linked to multiple accounts. To my knowledge, I have not used this account number before ... but I did have a different paypal account several years ago and may have used it at that time. I no longer have any information about that account.
A call to customer service did nothing but put me through a loop and I still can't add my perfectly valid Visa card to my account. If this cannot be fixed soon, it is goodbye to paypal for me.
Disgusted!

Hi Underclocked, and welcome to the forums!
I'm sorry to hear you ended up in a loop. If you follow the prompts and make the selections to get through to a representative, they can use your card number to find the associated account. Once they verify your information on that account, they'll be able to research the issue and see if the card can be made available for use.
I hope this helps!
