I cannot add another bank account

I recently changed banks and I'm trying to get Paypal to authorize my new bank. I know my bank accepts the type of confirmation Paypal uses because I'v doe the same thing a few days ago with Google Adsense. Here is the message I get when I submit the routing and account numbers (which are correct).

 

 

We were unable to process your bank account registration at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again at a later date.

 

Can anyone help?

Hello Alastair6, 

 

It sounds like you may need to file a MTS ticket with our Merchant Technical Support team and they can take a look at your account to see why you are not able to add your bank account.

It's funny, I did just that, and do you know what their advice was? I'll show you their exact words -

 

 

"Thank you for contacting PayPal Merchant Technical Services.

These errors can usually be easily resolved by contacting customer support. Please contact customer support for assistance with adding a bank account."

 

So a fat lot of good your advice is.

 

Been waiting four days now, still not been resolved, still cannot withdraw my money.

 

Crap.

Hello adam1516,

 

I am sorry you are receiving conflicting information. This error can occur in different instances. I would suggest contacting PayPal directly and someone can take a look at your account with you to see why you are not able to add your bank account. 

To contact PayPal directly - log into your PayPal account, click on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the screen and you will be given a phone number and a PIN.
