Dear Paypal Moderator Adrian,

this seems to be a "popular" problem; i've been on paypal for years and send and recieve payments with paypal weekly,

but since moving recently, cannot figure out a way to confirm my new address so online purchases automatically ship there.

help pleeeeeease. every time i make a purchase or print a shipping label i need to go in and change my return and shipping address and when i forget, things get messy.

Anela,

Yeah, I can certainly understand how that would get messy!  There are a few things to check here:

1)  Make sure the address you want is your home address in PayPal and you don't see any others.  You may have to update your credit cards to the correct address if you need to designate it as your home address.

2)  Double check eBay to update it there as well.  When purchasing from a sellers website as a return customer, they often maintain a database of their own.  Make sure each merchant is updated before purchasing.  I did this to myself once; fortunately, a good friend of mine had moved into my old place!  Smiley Happy

3)  To change your return shipping address in PayPal, for shipping labels, on a permanent basis use the following steps, log in to PayPal and go to Profile > Shipping Preferences > Edit (under Address Information) > Select from the drop down box > Continue.  One important thing to note - even if it looks correct, go ahead and edit it again.

If you use Multi-Order Shipping,  you'll  have to edit the same information separately inside the Multi-Order Shipping tool in your Settings menu there.

If you're using Multi-Order Shipping from eBay, make sure eBay is updated, as I believe it pulls the address directly from there.  For that, you may want to check directly withe eBay.

Hope this helps,

Adrian
