so annoying, this is the same card i've used and it's not working .

You would need to contact our customer service team directly. They would need to run a search on the card number to see where is was located. Once located they will be able to assist you further.

Will someone please tell me WHY I can't link my credit card to multiple paypal accounts? My husband and I have separate paypal accounts, but one credit card, so we can't use the credit card for both accounts. Therefore, he can make payments instantly, while I have to wait six freaking days before anything goes through!

And how the hell you want to contact you, if we need the last 4 digits of our credit card, the credit card that we cannot attach to our paypal account because we getting that error. Don't be a cyborg and think before you write.

Siobhán I am one of the many people with the same problem of not being able to register the credit card. You always say that maybe the card is or was assigned to another account. I have seen many of them saying that they don't have another account. My understanding is that there is a problem with your system or you (PayPal) wants the customers to call on the phone to verify or double check somethings. If so please specify.......it makes no sense that at least 20 people on this discussion are presented with the same error. Please find a solution. If not we could understand that is a way of saying " we don't want you to use PayPal" . Please find a provide us with a prompt solution

What do I do if  I don´t have other cards I can pay with? Can I delete my pay pal account I have and create a new one? how do i delete the one I have?

Until my most recently created PayPal account I didn't believe I had an active account. I keep getting this error message when I'm trying to add my debit card. I have used my debit card on previous PayPal accounts, all of which are closed to my knowledge. What? After I close a PayPal account three times I can't use the same card? That would be so SH***Y!

You can use the same card BUT you needed to have removed it from your previous paypal accounts first.

Does not matter if the account is active or not, if that card or bank account remains on that other paypal account then you can't use it on another.

I can't understand why anyone would keep closing and reopening paypal accounts BUT if that is what you want to do fine BUT when you close an account it clearly states "remove any financial info before you close it" and that is any cards or bank accounts you have on that paypal account you are closing.
