Setting up Multiple accounts for a club

I jointly run a small car club.

We operate a web forum, for our members, charge a nominal membership fee of £12 per year, to cover cost of things like car stickers, newsletters, webhosting and so forth.

We have a paypal account which is currently linked to our club bank account, and has been for some years.

Recently, we setup a second paypal acocunt for the purpose of collecting money from members who have purchased tickets to a major show this month.

I am assuming since there is now a warning on the 2nd account, we need to link this also to a bank account, although its purpose is solely to provide a means for users to deposit money and then it gets moved to the main account to cover money that we have paid out in advance for tickets to this event.

Can you advise of anything we've done wrong, since we now have all sorts of information requests on login and warnings of accounts being limited by a certain date.

Hi there,

For compliance reasons we have to treat each account separately and each account will eventually have to have a bank account added and confirmed. Even if the funds are going to be transferred to the same place by you they will have to both have their a bank added at some point.

All the steps in the Resolution Centre will need to be completed on the second account.

I've seen others remove the bank account from PayPal account one, they add it to PayPal account two for the purpose of confirmation and then remove it once the conformation process is complete. Once it's removed you are free to add it back onto PayPal account one.
