Hello.
I listed a Playstation 3 Move bundle onto eBay. A customer bought it and paid via PayPal. (£300 total)
This was a few days ago. I've shipped the PS3, but then I log onto PayPal today to see that i have a negative balance of -£102.07. So I head on over to the Resolution Centre and see this:
http://gyazo.com/bbe0271dde3c5354a4ad047538a4073d.png?1340146836
So does this mean the buyer has opened the dispute or PayPal is doing a random check.
I'm currently shaking, and "bricking" it. I'm young (not specific, but under 20) and have no funds to pay off this balance. Not in my bank etc. Were not exactly the richest family which is why I'm selling my PS3. To make us some money to use.
Will I most likely get the money back? I need it. Also if the buyer gets the money (AND the PS3) what shall I do?
Thanks.

If there is no dispute showing in your paypal account in the resolution centre then the buyer has not opened a dispute.
It sounds like a temporary security check and hopefully the funds will be released within 48 hours.
Come back and let us know.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi. Thanks for the help!
In my Resolution Center and on my front page it says theres a open disput. But then when I look at it, it says its a inquiry by PayPal.
Are my chances of getting the money high? As I've sent the PS3 and do not have the money to pay off over £100
thanks.

Well i think you should get the money released but as i don't know what the security check is for no one can really say.
Still sounds as though the buyer has not opened the dispute.

Hey there guys.
Welcome to the community lewielewis70.
If the case is the resolutions centre isn’t asking for any information from you then just keep an eye on your emails and you will be updated.
Have a look at the seller protection for this transaction and if you are eligible then even if the funds are returned to your buyer then you will be covered for the full amount.
So first thing to check is the transaction details, does it say Eligible, partially eligible, or not eligible? What you want it to say is Eligible. Once it says this then all you need to make sure is that you have sent the item to the address in the transaction details and used a track number.
Come back and let us know how you get on.

Okay so the review started on the 19th and nothing has changed. I HAVE sent the PS3 and I am now down £300. I really need the cash for my holiday on Friday. Please have a word so it can be reviewed so I can have my money back. I also need it to continue my services on eBay. I've had around 10 people charging back or complaining on eBay since i cannot fufill there orders.
Thanks

Hi there paulbell3,
If you have paid twice for the same item to request a refund you will need to contact the recipient of the payment and ask that they return the funds to you.
Their contact information can be found on the transaction details page of your PayPal account.
Here's how to view these details:
1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
2. Click ‘History’ near the top of the page.
3. Find the transaction you wish to be refunded and click the ‘Details’ link.
4. You will then see the ‘Transaction Details’ page where you will be able to view the name and email address of the Seller.
5. Email the recipient of the payment requesting a refund.
It is best to ask the recipient of the payment to use the ‘Issue Refund’, not the ‘Send Money’ feature. The ‘Issue Refund’ link is available within 60 days of receiving a payment.
