Paypay receiving money limits

Hi. I've sold my car on eBay and buyer has sent £4000 to my paypal account but it's not there and I've read on paypal now that there's limits on receiving money. Can I change there limits. It must have gone through as he's got a receipt. Any ideas, cheers

Hi there Jdavison118,

If you cannot see the payment in your account then it has not gone through.

The per transaction limit is around £5,500 GBP so this would not be the issue. Ask the buyer to check again as the payment may have been declined on their end.

Also, please be aware that there is no seller/buyer protection on payments for vehicles received through PayPal so this transaction is open to the risk of being reversed. You may want to arrange an alternative payment method with the buyer.
