Not receiving e mail notifications of payment

Hi all

Hope someone can help!

I have had my paypal account for a number of years and when I have received a payment from an item I have sold on e bay or just through paypal then I have always received an e mail notification of payment to my homail account but as of a few days ago it has stopped! Now I have to log into paypal every day to check if people have paid for items which is a bit of a pain.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, have I done something myself to cause this or is it a problem paypals end?

Hi there Steelman,

Welcome to the Community!

Are you only not receiving PayPal emails? Has this only started happening recently? 

You could try adding service@paypal.co.uk to your email address contacts and this might help with emails being received from PayPal. 

If you are still not receiving emails, you should try checking your junk/spam folders in order to see if they are showing in there. If not, you might need to contact your email service provider in order to determine why emails aren't being received from PayPal.

We have also experienced this.

It's not an email/spam related problem as we're getting other emails to the same address, but we're not getting payment notifications and have missed the last 5 new subscribers. We are receiving emails from paypal because we had a dispute open until today and we were getting the notification emails for that.

I realise this is a reply to an old post, but I have also recently stopped receiving payment notifications from paypal (I had assumed they came from ebay).  I started receiving sparodic notifications (maybe 1 in 4 sales) now they have stopped completely.  Nothing has changed my end, I have done as requested and added the service paypal email to my contact lists (although why this would suddenly make any difference I have no idea) but I am still not receiving notifications.  Has anyone found a solution to this?

If you have gmail you might try checking your promotions folder or spam folder. It's been quite some time since I had that problem so don't remember what I finally had to do to fix it. Sorry.

Hey ForestFarm,

Have you tried adding the email address to your email address contacts? I have helped customers with this in the past and then this would help with PayPal emails being received.

The emails are being sent by our system and if they are not being received into your email inbox, there isn't much that we can do. If you have done the above and you are still not receiving the emails, you should try getting in contact with your service provider.

My notifications are now very sporadic. Out of every 10 sales I am currently only getting 1 notification. Never had this problem before

Hi all

Using PayPal for over 10 years and now NOT receiving notiications of payment

from Ebay purchases but still receiving everything else from PayPal.  

There is something very wrong here. We run our own website thanks!

i.e. We don't NEED to ask permission to receive emails - we set

all this up ourselves - years ago - and it is constantly checked.

Nothing has changed except PayPal's seeming inability, lately, to let us

know when we've received a payment - and then customers have a go

at us for 'tardy postage'!

Hello again

Have just had an extremely long and tiring livechat with Ebay - to no avail but am willing to put it all on here

if you think it will help.  One thing I have just done is to leave feedback for my buyer with the wording 'superfast payment thanks - sorry for tardy post but PayPal did not advise your payment.'  Maybe if we all start this it might get them going - I have also written to PayPal but am not expecting an answer.  Probably get turfed out at this rate. If anyone wants to contact me via Ebay we are roses919.  Good luck all.
