Having trouble using an off-site payment page

I'm trying to pay for an order I placed with a Japanese store, but for some reason, I'm getting the following error whenever I try to log in;

The @ in my email changes to that weird symbol and I can't log in. I'm using the correct password and everything but I can't get it to work.

This has never happened before and I've paid through several items from the same store via this method. please help!

It sounds like it may be a problem with the browser you are using, problems may occur if you are using Opera or Google Chrome.

I would firstly advise that you clear your cache and cookies and also try accessing your PayPal account using Mozilla or Internet Explorer.
